Before installing a new RealGUIDE version,  we recommend uninstalling the
previous release completely.
Don’t worry, the procedure is not going to remove your patients and
projects from your database.
Windows instructions:
- First, check that your computer meets the minimum system requirements (attached);
 - Open RealGUIDE software and click on Settings icon->Show setting folder (for Windows: C:\Users\YourPC Username\AppData\Roaming\RealGUIDE50). The name of the settings folder is different if you have installed a partner version;
 - Close RealGUIDE;
 - Delete all files located in the "RealGUIDE50" folder. Before you do this, please be sure you saved a copy of your custom RealGUIDE files, if you created any (read this article to learn how to save custom RealGUIDE files);
 - click on Windows Start icon, look for RealGUIDE software in the programs list and click Uninstall (do not use the Search tool);
 - run the installer of the new RealGUIDE version and follow the proposed installation wizard.
 
MACinstructions:
- First, make sure your computer meets the minimum system requirements (attached);
 - Open RealGUIDE and click on the Settings icon -> Show Settings folder (Macintosh>Users> MAC User name >config.>RealGUIDE50). The name of the settings folder is different if you have installed a partner version;
 - close RealGUIDE;
 - delete only and exclusively the files contained in the "RealGUIDE50" folder. Before you do this, please be sure you saved a copy of your custom RealGUIDE files, if you created any (read this article to learn how to save custom RealGUIDE files);
 - search for the RealGUIDE software in the MAC Finder, APP section, select it and click Move to Trash;
 - run the installer of the new RealGUIDE version and follow the proposed installation wizard.
 
In case of partner versions, install the latest release made available by the distributor itself.
CAUTION: Patient data are contained in the "RealGUIDE50-DB" folder. Deleting it would result in the permanent loss of data in local memory.
