I would like to design a surgical guide on my own. What do available parameters mean?

Surgical guide design requires you set some parameters available in Guide Design wizard.

RealGUIDE proposes as default some values 3DIEMME usually sets when designing guides, but you can change them according to your needs.

Here you can read a short description of some parameters:

  • Guide Offset: offset between the anatomy surface and the surgical guide one;

  • Occlusal thickness: guide’s thickness in the occlusal portion;

  • Perimetral thickness: guide’s thickness in the perimetral portion;

  • Implant sleeve support: diameter of the cone of material settled around the implant sleeve;

  • Implant support angle: angle of the cone of material around the implant:

    • 0°: cilindrical;

    • 1°-60°: conical.

  • Pin sleeve support: diameter of the cone of material settled around the pin sleeve as a support;

  • Pin support angle: extrusion angle of pin support:

    • 0°: cilindrical;

    • 1°-60°: conical.

  • Extrusion angle: support extrusion angle of the upper portion of the guide:

    • 0°: cilindrical;

    • 1°-60°: conical.

  • Sleeve tolerance: sleeve housing tolerance
